We have a Bible Study meeting every fortnight on a Tuesday at 7:30pm in the Manse. Everybody is welcome. Here is an opinion expressed by one of our members:

"GENESIS AND REVELATIONS"

Outside home, my introduction to the Bible would have been at Tinwald Sunday School held in Locharbriggs village hall in the 1920's. My teacher was Ina Charteris who later became Mrs. Dickson and lived in Sandy Lane, Locharbriggs. My education continued in Dumfries at St. Michael's Church and Sunday School, and in primary and secondary schools. Rooted and grounded. From then on, at varying stages of belief and unbelief, I attended many churches of many denominations up and down the U.K., ultimately returning to Tinwald.

By the 1990's I may have been forgiven for wondering why I should listen to the same stories week after week, year after year. Recently, however, I felt impelled to attend Bible study at Tinwald Manse - possibly out of curiosity - and found an opportunity to share thoughts, express views or just listen. It has been as if I had opened a new book or turned back the pages in an old favourite.
